Why Must I Chase After A Credit Score Of 700

9

It is kind of freaky when you think about it, the fact that all of us are recognized and even looked upon as merely numbers.Whenever you go down to apply for a loan or a credit line you can see the truth revealed in that if you don't possess a high enough number you won't get the money you require.

Let's look at what a credit score is. A credit score is merely a way of valuing an individual based on their past to find out whether they will be responsible enough to pay off the loan that they are asking for. Credit scores for the most part range from between 340 to 800 and if you score isn't at least around the 700 range you can either reckon on paying a higher interest rate if it does get approved or if it is too low being denied entirely.

This is probably unfair given that you don't have money already but it is a fact of life. It's either you agree to their terms or you don't get the much required funds.

Lots of people in the U.S. have good credit scores. The reason for this is that those people live within their means and don't spend what they cannot afford to pay. They also pay all of their bills on time.

If you don't have a wonderful credit score then chances are you will need to find another way to get your bills paid and make ends meet.A good idea will be to talk to your creditor about the situation so they can come up with a payment plan so this will never appear on their permanent record. If you have been carrying a good credit score up to now that is probably the wisest choice of action to start.

If you are packing a lot of extra charge cards you should get rid of all of them except for one .. Only keep the oldest card that you have for it will reflect the best on your credit record.

A frequently made mistake most often by people without a very long credit history is to open credit accounts unnecessarily. Try to use common sense when dealing with credit if you can't afford it don't get it.

If your credit score is just a few points from 700, look at the document and see if everything stated there is correct. Who knows, you might get lucky and find out that there was an error made. If and when you do find a mistake on your report contact the agency immediately and provide them with all of the pertinent documentation proving your point so that they can look into it and get it removed off of your report

To get a copy of your credit score, you can get in touch with one of these credit agencies namely Experian, Equifax or Transunion. Though the scoring system they use is different from one another, it states the same thing so you know what it is..A lot can happen to your credit over the course of a year so make sure that you check it for accuracy at least once a year so you can be certain of it's accuracy.

If you have a score of 700 or higher you very easily qualify for the lowest interest rates,In most instances without even having any money to put down on the loan. You can use that low interest money in any way you choose be it for schooling, a mortgage, or even home improvements. People who attain this number deserve it for it isn't something that comes easily or overnight, so if you wish to attain this you must be prepared to work very hard for it.

Before you even go in to apply for a loan you should be aware of what your credit score is.If you are aware of your credit score when you apply there won't be any surprises after you fill out and submit the forms.

Yeah, I've been there, done that. In 2001 I quit a really good I.T. job and moved back to California with the intention of staying out of the computer industry. I burned through some savings with odd jobs here and there before getting a job I really loved, as a climbing instructor. But, it didn't pay nearly enough. I racked up some credit card debt to stay there, eventually became the manager of the rock gym, but without any pay increase. One day, I was completely exhausted from not eating or sleeping, and while driving up to my parents' place (a long drive), I fell asleep at the while. I somehow managed to walk away from a spectacular crash, but the car wasn't fully insured and I had run out of credit. I gave up the job shortly after and moved back in with my parents — not my proudest moment — with thousands in debt, two overdrawn bank accounts, and all that good stuff. Several years later, I live in a pretty nice house, I own my own business, have a really awesome girlfriend, and things are generally going pretty well. So, here's my advice, based only on what worked for me: 1. Expect the rebuilding process to take years; really get that into your head, the sooner the better. I kept expecting that everything would be better "next year", and when it wasn't, I got more depressed. It was only when I could look back and see progress that I realized that this was something that would take a while, and that let me become more relaxed about handling it. 2. Accept your situation. One of the problems I had was the shame and guilt I felt when trying to get a bank account, or accept help from someone. You have to accept the situation you're in so that you can be forthright with people when the subject comes up. 3. Get as much help as you can. Don't let pride keep you from accepting help from friends and family; they're helping you because they want to. But, do have enough self-respect to either pay them back, or tell them you can't pay it back right away before they give it to you. 4. Take every single opportunity that comes your way. If your neighbor offers you 20 bucks to help them with something for a day, do it. Get to know as many people as you can, and make sure they realize that you're willing to help them out whenever you can, even if there's no money involved. But, don't let yourself get taken advantage of, either. If you do something for someone without payment, the deal is that they help you out in some other way. Your time is valuable to you right now, and you can't afford to give it away. 5. Cut commitments and make your life really simple. You've probably already eliminated things like cable tv, phone service, that sort of thing. But, do you own a video game system? I have nothing against 'em, but it's also something that will distract you from getting your life back together. Do you really need internet service? Do you have more stuff than you could move, by yourself, in a day? 6. Forget about your credit for now. Yes, it will be a hardship for you. You will not be able to live in the same apartments as other people making the same money but with better credit. You will not get things like auto-pay discounts. But, credit repair takes more money than you can afford right now, and thinking about it will just be a distraction, so just accept that your credit is a mess and don't even try to fix it until you have more money each month than you know what to do with. 7. Being on Chex Systems also can't be fixed. It simply takes around 5 years to clear that up, last I checked. If your bank tells you that you can pay them back and they'll remove your name from it, they are lying through their smile. Once you're in it, you're in it; the best they'll be able to do is change the reason that you're in there. The good news is, the situation with Chex isn't nearly as bad now as it was when I was dealing with it years ago. There are banks that will open accounts for people in Chex, usually with some extra limitations. Check with credit unions and local banks first, and again, just be forthright with your situation. They don't need a long sob story, but just tell them, "I hit a real rough patch, I'm trying to get everything back in order, I'm in Chex systems but I really need a bank account in order to pay my bills." In some banks, individual employees have some lee-way in choosing whether or not to open an account for someone. 8. But, don't open an account too soon. Right now you're at real risk of overdrawing a bank account again. You know it, and the bank will know it. Try living without a bank account for as long as you can. I found it really useful to be able to look in my wallet and know exactly how much money I had until my next paycheck. Then, when I felt the urge to buy junk food, I'd open the wallet, do the math, and find something more boring instead. Since you're not paying for a lot of monthly services, you should be able to get along without a bank account without too much trouble. Grocery stores will cash your paychecks for free, by the way. 9. While on the subject of food: fast food and junk food are right out. They're something you can't really afford right now, sorry. Brown-bag it as much as you can. 10. But, do stay healthy. Eat as well as you can. Sleep. Get some exercise. Getting out of your situation requires energy and resourcefulness, and you won't have those without enough rest and nutrition. Going jogging, even in the Winter, works for a lot of people and is cheap. I never took good enough care of myself during all of this, and it probably added a whole extra year on to the recovery process. 11. Your life right now should be focused on two things: taking care of yourself, and working. Get an extra part-time job. Pick up side jobs. If you have a skill or talent, whore it out. And when you're not doing all of that, make sure you keep putting effort into finding *better* jobs. Don't just accept the job you currently have, think of it as a stepping stone to a better job. Don't wait until you lose it to find something better. Even if you like your current job, getting a better offer somewhere else can be a great bargaining chip. Work, work, work — it's the only way you're gonna get out of this. 12. Go without a car as long as you possibly can. They are time and money sinks. The cheap ones break down when you need them most. Tickets for driving without insurance or registration get more expensive every year. This unfortunately will really hamper your efforts to find more work, but you just can't get a car right now until you have, say, an extra $200 every month. 13. Learn to live like a poor person. If you do go into a fast food place, get extra ketchup. Free napkins make decent kleenex. Learn to fix things and come up with creative solutions. For example, if you get snow in your area, you can snow-and-ice-proof your bike tires by wrapping zip ties around them, one between each spoke. This is kind of related to taking every opportunity or advantage that comes your way, but in this case it's about realizing just how much you can take advantage of. Like: free sugar packets from one place, free cup of water from another place, free lemon slice from somewhere else: bingo, free lemonade. 14. Create a plan and stick with it. Don't set hard dates for it, because you probably won't be able to accomplish ambitious goals by a particular date. Rather, set up something like: a.: get rid of commitments and stuff you don't need; b.: get better job, or extra job, until I have a little extra money each month; c.: open a checking account; d.: get better job (or better extra job) again; d.: keep an eye out for a good cheap car; e.: get much better job; f.: find an apartment closer to work (that's still cheap); …etc. There really aren't any tricks or shortcuts to this, sorry. It's just going to involve a lot of work, and a little bit of luck. Stay out of trouble, stay healthy, and work a lot. Most of the stuff that you think will improve your situation — like a car or a bank account or credit — also come with obligations, and you need as few of those right now as you can manage. Do whatever you're good at. Don't get distracted from your goal, which is to create the kind of life for yourself that you would like to have.
