it is an unfortunate mess unemployment is not down, it appears that way because for those people who have exhausted all of their benefits are not being counted as emplyed nor unemployed they are just in a grey area. not all of the unemplyed are minimum wage criteria, yes, there are those that probably are taking advantage of the benefits, when you factor in the cost of gasoline,childcare expenses, and medical along with the taxes depending upon what state you may live in after all is accounted, to look for work may end up with 30.00 dollars left over lets see, verses lost wages of a 65,000. dollar a year job due to no fault of their own.we need to take care of our own, sibblings are living with each other now since they lost their home,the basic essentials some cant afford hmmm lets see should i pay my phone bill or my wirelessinternet bill,should i heat with my electric stove or my fireplace,since the gas was shut off, please help the people, i know of a family who while there businsess was fruitful, helped to take of those less fortunate, watched their business crumble when the high cost of gas rose in 08 and 09 yes they were in the transportation industry, husband became ill and had a 5 valve replacement then the IRS stepped in and said they owed thousands of $$$$ because the man was ill he overpaid some taxes and under paid others thought he had taken care of all of it, a bookkeepers nitemare so the couple went to take a second mortgage on their home when they becames victims of predatory lending the lenders kept selling their mortgage until their credit record said they had over 750.000 in open mortgages, they put up a good fight and eventually were ordered to move out of their home, found a new home to live in, moved in and 9 days later a fire destroyed the home and the entire contents, they managed to keep a vehicle,fire was due to a bad gfi in the house,now the man who leased them the house was pushing for the couple to buy the house rather than the proposed rent to own, the couple needed a day or two to think about it, meanwhile the fire ensued they also lost their animal a dog, then as things unraveled the homeowner was in foreclosure and his property was due to be sold on the court house steps within 4 days of pushing the couple, he took all of their money and was rid of a debt, incidently he was a contractor. this couple has gone to apply for food stamps rightfully so,they were denied because they had 500 dollars in the bank and the vehicle that was not in the fire was worth too much, they havent filed for unemploymemt
